2012...
After watching a show on the History channel about Israel, I had to do a little research. The program, I think, was called Decoding the Past. It talked about the Jewish people and their struggles through time. It talked about the Biblical prophets, and others throughout history. This of course is something I find very interesting. However, this program brought a little more light with it than I had anticipated.
The program covered other prophets and calenders as well as those in the Bible. It talked about the Mayan Calender, Chinese Calender, Merlin and Nostradamus. The two calenders both showed something very extreme or the to-be end of the world happening in the year 2012. Merlin, yes that famous wizard from the story books, also had theories about such things. I found it very interesting that throughout history there are at least 4 different people that all said the same thing about 2012. Now by no means am I saying the world will end in 2012, I just find it very interesting that so many people, from different races, times and cultures, could all come up with the same time frame.
I knocked the idea around for a little bit, and however I don't think the world will end, I think that it IS possible that something else might occur. 2012 is going to be an election year for America and Russia, as well I'm sure for some other countries. Tensions are rising between Israel and Iran. Israel this last week has stated they could single handedly take on Iran. Nothing new there, the Bible says it will happen. What I am thinking is that in 2012 may be the year that the Anti-Christ comes forth.
Of course I am sure that this does sound very crazy to some, and again, I may stand to be laughed at, but most prophets don't get the respect they deserve until all is said and done. Let the record show that by NO means am I claiming to be a prophet.
What could happen in 5 years time?

I do think you are correct though. We will probably see something happen in 2012. My bet will be the start of the last 3.5 years of the "Great Tribulation." Which would mean that we should expect to see a peace treaty with Israel somewhere around mid-2008 (give or take).
