Jesus Costume

So there was this kid, in 4th grade, who went to school in Philly. His parents do not celebrate Halloween but because the kid would feel left out, allowed him to dress up. So he dressed up as Jesus, by way of a robe and a stick & twig crown of thorns. The principle told him that he could be dressed as Jesus, and told him to take off the crown. The principle then told the kid he could be a roman emperor.

Public schools have the authority to prohibit students from wearing costumes that are "hateful or violent," said Haynes (director of education programs at the First Amendment Center).
So its Okay to allow a Pagan festival in schools, and its Okay to dress up as devils, witches, and other things, but nothing Christian. I am not against the festival of Halloween, I am against discrimination against Christians.
I hope that she wins the battle. In fact I think this year, all across the nation, on Halloween, every Christian parent should dress their child as Jesus Christ and force the schools to allow Christianity to get a foot in the door again.

Illegal Immigration

So illegal immigration is becoming a very large issue. It will definitely be a big deal for the presidential election, as will the Iraq solution and the possibility of war with Iran... which is looming.
Anyway, Illegal immigration is really starting to blow up in America. South Carolina is trying to pass laws to stop helping aliens, others states are doing the same, Congress has been given money to build a wall, nothing has happened with that however. Its all over on the news, especially due to the border agents that have recently been sent to jail for shooting a drug dealer in the butt (article). Now some people are suggesting that Pres. Bush should get impeached if one of these guys dies. I don't think it should go that far, however I think it is ridiculous that they were sentenced to 11+ years in prison. They shot a Illegal immigrant Drug Dealer in the butt and they got more time in prison than some murderers get. That is ridiculous. The judge must have been one of the dealers clients because there was some suspicion in the case, and he trusted the word of the Illegal Alien Drug Dealer over the BORDER PATROL! Come on now. As the story goes, 4 people were in a car transporting drugs. While they were driving, they swerved at the border patrol agent. That is the part that is suspicious. So the patrol agent shoots at the car, nicks one of them in the butt. The car pulls over and the other 3 run away. The two agents get 11 years in jail... and they were put in the general population, where one of them was beatin.

My questions are, first, why 11 yrs? Second, why would you put a cop in with general population?! Stupid. These guys deserve a pardon, and should be given more ammunition. What are your thoughts?

Marriage is for procreation only

A group of gay-marriage supporters could begin collecting signatures today for a November ballot initiative that would limit marriage in Washington to couples willing and able to have children. So if you don't want kids, or your are unable to have kids, this gay group doesn't think you should be married. The measure would also dissolve the union of those who remain childless three years after marrying. So you would have 3 years to pop a child out, or they want your marriage annulled. How about that? This just goes to show that Gays want it all, and if they don't get it, you should have it. Maybe that explains the whole Gay relationship, they both have what they want, so no one gets upset. eww.

The group hopes to make a point by parodying a state Supreme Court ruling last year that denied gays the right to marry because, among other reasons, such unions don't further the purpose of procreation. They must have looked over the part that said "among other reasons". Kinda like in the Bible where it says a Man and [Wo]man... yes, there is actually wo before man.

Rev. Joseph Fuiten of Cedar Park Assembly of God sees it all as nonsense — and doubts the sponsors will put much effort into it. They would need to gather at least 224,880 signatures by July 6 to get the initiative on the November ballot.

"It's so obviously a joke, poking fun at the argument that marriage is an institution for the having of children," Fuiten said. "I read it, laughed and threw it away."

The scary thing here is I am sure that the religious figures said and did the same thing about separation of church and state, prayer in school, and abortion. Granted, right now the group is a small number of people, and their idea is quite out there, but the fact is still that they are trying, while religious conservatives are going to leave it up to the courts.. again.

Currently not many support the idea, but what is worrisome is who knows what will come next.

Fantasy Congress Has STARTED!
